Campus 244 is a mixed-use development in Atlanta’s Central Perimeter area, blending office, hospitality, and retail functions on a 12.8-acre site adjacent to the Dunwoody MARTA station. A key component of the redevelopment is a two-story mass timber overbuild atop the existing concrete and steel structure.

The overbuild uses DLT panels supported by a glulam purlin/beam and column framing system, forming large spans and high ceilings. This structural system creates vault-like interior volumes and minimizes MEP visuals while maintaining a lightweight structure that is compatible with the existing building below. Here, we used 4x4" European Spruce DLT laminations, creating a wider board look and bringing fabrication efficiencies with fewer laminations per panel.
