SoLo House

Located in the Lower Soo Valley, SoLo is Passive House Institute Low Energy Building certified, built with off-grid innovations. Using mass timber for both roof and walls created great thermal performance for this passive house.

As an all-wood product without glue between laminations, DLT was chosen as the appropriate mass timber panel for the roof and walls. Douglas Fir was selected as the species, offering a natural and simple aesthetic with the panels beautifully highlighting the intrinsic properties of the wood. We were pleased to provide the shop-fabricated DLT panels for this comfortable, efficient, and beautiful passive house.
